Stick on rubber FTW!!! I didn't want to increase the height of the stack with some horrible spikes so I found these locally for next to nothing.![]()

That is a gorgeous amp. The "solid block of aluminum" look gives it a brutal minimalist look. One question: is the power umbilical long enough? It looks like it's pretty tight for side-by-side operation.

"brutal minimalist look" is indeed what I go for with my gear. The amp is meant to be stacked like in the picture below and the umbilical in long enough for that. The fact that it only has a connector on one end is not my fault but rather the guy on ebay who sells the connectors. I ordered a matching set (male to female so that one can never touch bare metal with live voltage) but only delivered two of the amp sets.

Brutal indeed.
How appropriate to have the ball peen hammer head down in the corner.
The looks may be minimal, but I bet the sound is maximul.
The bass is certainly maximul. It has a certain richness to it which is simply awesome and a bit different from the BH on one hand and the ESX on the other.

Congrats Birgir - Nice build. Enjoy the listening![]()
Dayum bubba. You weren't kiddin about a backlog of projects.
I have wood for your metal parts there. Wouldn't exactly call that minimul.
Finished re-doing the I/V stage in my brother's Adcom GCD-575 with a tooleaudio I/V stage. Sounds quite good from the listening I have done so far. I haven't compared it directly (in the same player) with the rbroer stage I have previously used. From memory, they sound quite similar.

What's old is new again... so after rattling around in a drawer for the better part of 3 years I decided it was about time to recase my old Millett Hybrid.

MOAR BLACK GATES!!!
Not yet but the DC offset is A-OK so it should happen today. This isn't a powerhouse by any means but it should work well with the Spendors. Then I need to check for hum with a SRD box though there shouldn't be any with the star ground.
I'm still barely scratching the surface of the backlog. The F5 should be next on the list...![]()

Into this, today:
Really nice of Adcom to only use two capacitor values for everything so it all went smoothly except the damn toslink receiver snapped clean off the board. The local store only has TORX173 in stock so I just soldered some of the capacitor cut offs onto the leads and soldered it back in place. Now I can't find an optical cable to see if it worked...

Just recapped or is there something else going on? Definitely interesting to finally see the insides of the GDA700, much less spare space than the 600.
