Pete,

That looks like vortex's (ferrari on HF) favorite... ATI Research. They did go out of business a few months ago, but they may be back? I agree, they did have nice looking cases (I've never used one personally though).

Here are your options:

L to R: two black 3/4" THL knobs, one 1" and one 3/4" silver THL knobs, and two random 3/4" silver knobs that I got from a restoration project. They're all solid aluminum. And I've got a bunch of the 3/4" silver THL knobs if you want one for the back panel as well. Perhaps we should continue this via PM?

well, I have 2 like the ones on the right and am considering one of these for the rear rotary switch. I don't have any tools to cut down the shafts though, so I'll have to hit swt61 up for that. I'm thinking about going for the gold ones from Taiwan, as they are small in diameter and nice and long. I think gold and wood look nice together. I mean, 24 karat gold plated* knobs? Serious bling factor...

anyways, thanks everyone!

Unfortunately about all I managed on that project was to pull the PS from its current enclosures.

Other projects got some more meaningful attention though...

I'll let you know when I know. It's not installed in the 2900 yet. Then there's the matter of my amp getting finished.

FYI-- Commodity prices have dropped substantially since they peaked in the summer. Copper is down 43% from the summer peak and downward pressure is expected to continue due to Chile, a major copper producer, announcing their intent to boost copper production by 23% over the next three and a half years. Your suppliers were very quick to jack up prices due to the weak dollar and commodity price increases, now that all of that has reversed, where are the commodity price decreases? Perhaps you all are due some fire sale discounts.

Sorry, just another one of my vent posts.

Yes, Pars is correct. The case is my favorite ATI-738U W(12.71") x H(2.4") x D(11.81").
ATI Research is indeed out of business, unfortunately.

Now I’m logged in at this place, here are some pics of my just cased up tubes amp.

Can you make me something? LOL I've always liked your work and if I could get someone to make me something, it'd be you.

Thanks for the kind words gents!

And yes... the leads are the least interesting part but unavoidable in this amp.
There are PCB’s used for the amp but still, it’s a kind P-P build (partly due to the non-standard parts choices and some other modifications).

I think it looks great. Definitely sets the bar for the rest of us slackers that still have a Bijou to finish.

Two Alps RK40s modified into a single 4-gang potentiometer for a balanced amp.
