Defense of the Ancients for WC3:TFT. Been getting back into ladder debating on joining a CAL team.

Thinking about starting EVE Online.

rolled a draeni priest last week in wow, levelled her up to 24. i really want to play a priest in end game raids so I can drop big bomb heals. i'm tired of DPSing with my hunter, and since I'm so far behind the curve with the hunter now anyway because of my break, I might as well level a new char.

its great being back in the old guild again, such a fun group of folks.

Ugh... Alliance. I played a Troll Warrior and Orc Shaman up until this time last year. It sucked my life away and I'm glad I quit. Do you play casually?

yeah, definitely casual. We did raid MC and BWL two nights a week, which was fun. After about three months of raiding I got tired of it. When the expansion hit this past January I quit after over a year of regular play. I just started playing again about a month ago, and have been having a lot of fun.

Typically I play for an hour or two a night, which I think is casual, since otherwise I would spend that time dicking around on internet forums anyway. Mindless grinding is one of my favorite music listening accompanying activities. I can definitely see how WoW could suck ones life away, but since I don't drink or party or go to bars or anything I've never felt any social guilt running Uldamann for the hundreth time on my tenth alt on a Saturday night.

Heh, I don't party anymore, but my girlfriend had many problems with me staying in to play WoW. I did the MC/BWL bit for about a month and just gave up. I'd just tell my guild what I wanted from each instance and when that boss came, they'd call me and I'd log on and switch spots with another Shaman to try and get the gear. I didn't bother with DKP points as I just waited until everyone else got theirs before I got mine. It made getting end game gear alot easier, espeically because I didn't have to invest any time.

I led alot of BG's as my guild was a PVP guild. We started off playing not for gear and just melting faces in PVP. We destroyed our server until one day, a group of Alliance emerged with a bunch of MC gear and destroyed us. That's when we realized WoW's about 25% skill and 75% gear (more like 10% skill, lol). So to keep up, we started grinding, then lost half of our players because no one wanted to do the same exact instance every god damn week. By the time BWL came around, we gave up WoW. =T

Sometimes, I want to get back into the game. But with only 4 or 5 of my guildmates still playing, the urge to play is very very minimal. Warcraft 3 is my prefence before Starcraft 2 comes out. But around Dec, I'm going to start playing Starcraft/Broodwar again to familiarize myself in preparatino for Starcraft 2. =]

PvP is the hard! I have a lot of fun doing it, but my focus is primarily PvE. Actually my favorite thing to do in the game is level alts and run instances with guildmates. It helps when you are in a guild full of extremely silly people. Very silly. The previous incarnation of my guild was the Daring Blades, we had a kickass GM, a doctor from Brazil. Half our guild was from South American, mainly Brazil and Mexico, so all the accents made ventrilo hilarious during raids, especially when you throw my bad southern accent in the mix. Anyway apparently after I quit our GM had a breakdown due to RL job stresses (three jobs, a family, and a raiding guild) and kicked out the MT, so about 95% of the guild quit and formed a new guild called Unbroken. I think <Paid In Full> is a better name but whatever.

so right now my hunter main is still at 68 and my new priest alt is at 26. I also have a warrior and a druid somewhere in their 50s.

Heh, my guild at it's prime was awesome. It's more of a gaming community as it started out in Planet Side, then they quit that and joined WoW, recruited some of us, then quit and now we're in limbo, all playing our own games until another game comes around. During our prime, we were server first for all of MC except Rag and the best PVP'ers on the server. We had alot of fun just protecting the Horde, lol. Some nights, we'd do nothing but protect certain areas so the lower level Horde could quest without any Alliance troubles.

I personally loved leveling, but couldn't take the grind. My gaming attutide restricts me from playing now as I always strive to be the best, and without all the time in the world, you can't be the best in WoW. I had a level 60 Human Paladin on Arthas, 60 Shaman, 60 Warrior, 51 Rogue and 46 Druid. By far, I had the most fun with the Paladin because that was my first character. I actually read all of the Quest text, and thought it was great. I eventually made the switch to Horde because all of my friends from college were playing there. I just power leveled to catch up to them as they were in the 50's already. Sadly, of the 10 of them, I was the 2nd to hit 60. Goes to show how much time you can spend on a game and still pull 3.8's in computer science. =T

That's because computer science is a joke.

Really fun game. Driving around the city was very cool.

I still have my save game where I'm stuck at the god damn race track where you have to come in first. It's so frustrating

you know, you can download a save game that bypasses the race, if you can't manage to beat it

Feels like I'm cheating though

I believe I can just patch the game and it makes the race easier since so many people complained about it. And I have a controller for my PC now so it should help, I might reinstall it this weekend.
