Default Another New Onkyo Soundcard SE-200PCI LTD

Fungi!! Anyone know what's so new about this?
SE-200PCI LTD

All I know is that it is similar to the SE-200PCI and it is limited edition.

I wonder how it'll compare with the ASUS Xonar HDAV1.3.

Socketting the opamps is a nice touch.

Analog audio signals should never be inside a computer case. KTHX.

Amongst all the stuff I am unable to read, there is a photo of a WM8740 DAC and Oscon caps...... so at the very least, it has some potential.

Anandtech are the exception that proves the rule. Very good computer hardware site, and their gadget/audio/camera sections are constantly improving.

Well, just based on the pictures, it's got that copper box which is probably acting as a mini Farraday cage.

So...extra shiny.

Many of the other sites of that kind show some pretty heavy bias or seem pressured by the industry at times, but I've never found that from Anandtech. They're one of the few places I actually do have some trust in.

Of course the idea with that Asus card is that you should really be using HDMI for output rather than the analog sections.
