Knocked Up
Martian Child
GG the girl in Knocked Up is soo hot.
Grindhouse. First movie (zombies) was awesome, second one (lots and lots of Tarantinoesque talking) I got bored after half an hour and went back to porn surfing.
Currently watching Elizabeth, the golden years. Not as bad as I was expecting.
Sexy custom titles are cool.
For a minute I thought this was one movie.Originally Posted by deepak

Amacord. i've seen it before, of course. as much as i've come to hate everything Italian (the amp thing didn't help in that regard, though i have plenty of other reasons for the hatred [pm me for details, i guess]), i can't be mad at Fellini.

I thought it was OK, but nothing really special. Pretty typical Hollywood story with a happy ending... Joaquim Phoenix is a damn great actor though, I thought his performance was excellent throughout the movie.
One thing that bothered me near the end of the movie for those who've seen it: Joaquim Phoenix's character (I don't remember his name) becomes a cop and participates in an armed anti-drug operation, but he has absolutely no police training. That's total nonsense IMO.![]()

it was the other way around for me (well, i didn't think either of them was awesome). Planet Terror was, for me, so cliche it was sickening.Originally Posted by Smeggy

Planet terror was awesomely bad and cliche'd, doesn't get better than that. I can't watch zombie movies unless they're totally piss takes.Originally Posted by EdipisReks

Double Feature:
No Country For Old Men -- quite enjoyable the second time around (I saw it for my first time when it was originally in the theater), not my favorite Coen Bros. movie, however.
Fargo -- also my second time around (also I saw it for my first time when it was originally in the theater...back when it won an Oscar for Best Picture or Screenplay or something), quite enjoyable. I didn't "get it" the first time, and vowed never to see it again. Some friends reminded me that my tastes change, and had probably changed sufficiently to enjoy this film now, and I'm glad they did.

Awake.
I really like Terrance Howard, and Skywalker can hold his own now and then too, but this one was pretty predictable.

I Am Legend. Very cool movie. Will Smith did have his cutesy will smith moments (that I admit made me smile), but for the most part I was very impressed with him. He played the part of a dark godless military scientist very well. The zombies still weren't as cool as the infected on 28 Days though. And I had my qualms with the ending. Still an entertaining watch on the whole.

Just saw 30 Days Of Night as well.Originally Posted by postjack
I though I'd give it a chance because Josh Hartnett does some cool stuff, but I have to agree it wasn't too great. Better than most of that genre though.

Not done yet, but taking a break from the utter waste of time that is The Southland Tales. But considering I have no car and lots of time to waste, I'm determined to see it through.
The Reaping. Cool movie, entertaining with a great ending. Very creepy, I love gothic movies set in Southern USA. And has Hilary Swank always been such a supreme hottie?![]()
