Knowing - by the end of the movie it's like WTF! It went in a completely different direction than I thought it would or wanted it to.

The Hurt Locker. Story of a bomb squad in Iraq. Throws you right into the action. Don't think it's one of those pro/anti war movies. Rather, it focuses on the inner conflicts that soldiers face and what they do to cope.

Haven't seen Bruno yet, but Sacha Baron Cohen's about as close to Andy Kaufman as any comedian has come. Whether that's a good or bad thing I'll leave up to the individual. I happen to find him hilarious, and I like a comedian that makes you think.

Amen. I didn't enjoy Bruno as much as Borat, or even the Bruno segments of Da Ali G Show, but I loved it all the same.

I also love Andy Kaufman, though, especially the wrestling women bits, so Cohen is right up my alley.

OK, that was the best movie I've seen in a while. I should pick up more Kurosawa movies

    Good movie.

I busted out a classic and watched Star Wars Ep IV over the weekend.

Hellboy 1 yesterday. Maybe Hellboy 2 (Blu) or Watchmen (720p directors cut) tonight.

I preferred Hellboy 2 to 1, but then again I didn't think either was very good.

Ran is probably my favorite Kurosawa. Which puts it right in the running for best talkie sound film evaaar.

Just watched Suspiria. I dunno, I likes my giallo full of good old fashioned murder and less of this supernatural bullcrap. But ooh, pretty colors!

    Blood the last vampire.

Probably was good that when they were speaking Japanese, there was only Chinese subs. Movie was not as good as I expected. Guess I hoped for better action...maybe. Would say still better than the animated movie (but that's not saying much).
wow...this was actually really hard for me to figure out... =/

I just watched Australia in Blu-ray.

I liked it. Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman were good, but the young aboriginal boy (Brandon Walters) stole the movie.
