I wouldn't know -- was it? (looks) Yes, apparently it was. Good to know they have another album coming, out, too.Originally Posted by ojnihs

Oh, and apparently they have this really cool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq-6RgMtkdU]video for "Hell Bent" (although I like the better).

Artrosis - Con Trust
I loooooove Fetish, but this almost sounds like a completely different band, save her voice. Yet this album still kicks all sorts of ass.

How is it different? Have they gone all hard pop?Originally Posted by en480c4

The whole band besides the singer changed, so I can imagine that the music would sound a bit different. I've yet to hear Con Trust yet, so I wouldn't know.Originally Posted by Dusty Chalk

Gone are drum machines. Greatly reduced is the electronics/keyboards. And the addition of (distorted/metal) guitars and real drums puts them back into the gothic/rock/metal stuff much closer to, but harder than, their earlier stuff. And while her voice is still amazing, she's definitely using it differently. She's definitely moved away from the very theatrical style of the last few albums. Songs are more aggressive top to bottom, with great dynamics, including the vocals. The songwriting is more consise. I can't speak to lyrics because they're in Polish. It's definitey a harder album, with what sounds like an intentional lack of polish (Seriously, no pun intended!).Originally Posted by Dusty Chalk
I don't know if that makes things more or less clear for you. Sometimes I have trouble articulating stuff like this... especially close to quitting time on a Friday afternoon!
It definitely took some getting used to because it's so different from their earlier stuff. And it took a few listens to really sink in, but I'm glad I didn't write it off immediately. I'm very happy with it.
