Guys -- it's only February, I was kind of joking...I mean, it is the record of the year for me...so far...catchy as all heck...nice interplay of male and female vocals...just slammin'...I need to go back and listen to Ashes, I don't remember liking it this much...
But yes, you should go listen to it, medigs.

It really is a great album... I think "The Ravens," "Lotus" and "Deadlands" are the stand-out tracks.Originally Posted by Dusty Chalk

I don't hate Ashes like a lot of big Tristania fans do, but pales in comparison to their earlier work, isn't particularly good on its own merits and has been buried by Illumination. IMO, of course.

my first listen. while it isn't VIVISectVI, it's pretty good so far. i was afraid it would sound like an OhGr album. nothing wrong with OhGr (i really like OhGr), but i want Skinny Puppy when i listen to Skinny Puppy. this is definitely Skinny Pupp.

And I think they fucking rock. I've always loved Oingo Boingo, and combine that with that out-of-control calliope sound, and I think they have a winner on their hands. Definitely on my Top X Of 2006 list, even though I didn't discover it myself until 2007.
