Did I ever say that that album cover looks really cool?Originally Posted by en480c4

That's a fun album, especially the title track, "But if you are feeling sinister, go off and see a minister, he'll try in vain to take away the pain of being a hopeless unbeliever."Originally Posted by kpeezy

Is it just me or do you hear some clipping on her vocals towards the end of the first track ~3:40 or so? So upsetting when it happens. Perfectly good song ruined by the volume wars.Originally Posted by en480c4

I hadn't noticed, to be honest. A majority of my time spent with that album has either been with my iPod & K81DJs when I'm on the go or with my little JVC FS-1000 stereo here at the office. Neither really qualifies as dedicated listening. I haven't seen any negatives over at the SH forums about it. I know there have been issues with a noisy right channel on the vinyl, but I haven't seen anything of note about the redbook release.Originally Posted by thrice

I bought the original ATCO CD pressing at a used CD store today and it sounds much better than the loud-as-shit CD/DVD remaster that came out last year. Damn, I should stop reading Steve Hoffman's forums, it's another source of money wasting.![]()

Basically the only deathmetal band I listen to. I dont buy into their rhetoric, but damn do they rock.
This particular album is so damn dense that only now with my new-to-me HP4 amp can I hear it clearly. The previous amps and sources I had made a mess of it.
