SOTA "Moonbeam," aka Rambo Bose Kitty....great friend, one-time brief unofficial Head-Fi mascot thanks to Photochop.
This guy peaked at around 32lbs, and when he passed away he was down to about 17lbs. Oddly, he died of Melanoma, apparently very rare in cats....
Pic a bit before he left us
A few months later, we got Gryphon (L) and Tab....wonderful friends, too (but no SOTA)

The Bats Have Left The Belltower
The pic's bit out of focus, but here are our two cats enjoying their spoils from our wedding gifts. Eliot (L) and Edie (R) are bit over an year old at this point. Though it doesn't look it in the pic, Eliot is actually 3 pounds heavier than Edie.

I'm not much for cats but a girl that works for me is breeding them and two were born about 10 days ago.

It's not arms or legs
Just saw on the news tonight where the local Petco is offering $200 for return of kitten. The kitten had recently been rescued from animal shelter and was being held at Petco for new owner to pickup. A man (caught on video) walked out of the store with it. Can't for the life of me figure out why someone would steal a kitten. I never realized there was a shortage or they were that rare.

Shoplifting a kitten pales in comparison to one of the stories I saw on the local news last evening.

I dream of finding scumbags like that in the process of beginning a crime like that.
It would be worth jail time, if a jury so decided.
Tel Aviv is a city overrun with cats, but most people are rather fond of them. Cat food all over the place, and usually a small pile of (living) cat underneath or lying on top of every car.
Here are two pics of my favourite local, who never hesitates to say hello to me, and sometimes even comes with for a little walk...
And one micro cat

That's a cool story. I'd love to live in a city with lots of vagrant but friendly cats.
I'm a total idiot and everything I say should be viewed in that light.
The island I live on has tons of stray cats. At around 5:00 you can drive around and watch all the businesses and private citizens putting out cat food.
I feed about 5-10 cats myself. They keep the snakes away, and they're safe from coyotes inside my fence.
Our cats are a lasting gift from the completely failed attempt by the British to control the rat population. There were originally lots of rats. Now there are lots of rats and lots of cats.
I just donated $20 towards medical care for "Hadley the burned cat" at their local Humane Society's website.

great link, i just donated 20 bucks as well. For every person that donates I won't pee in the sink.

Those are the cutest things ever.
My kitty (yes, I already think of him as mine) was touch and go for a while -- she had found a local recipient, but then changed her mine mind.
My cat was touch and go for a while -- she was acting constipated (left as an exercise for the reader to determine what, exactly, I mean by that). She's all better nao.
