    Default memory foam pillows

Does anyone use or have experience with memory foam pillows? Memory foam is like the coolest thing with bedding, or at least when I see them at the department stores, but I wonder how memory foam in pillow form works out...

Does that mean you like sleeping with it?

Apparently people here sleep with their amps.

Yes get a memory foam pillow. Get a brand name one and not some store brand. There is a difference in the time it takes for it to loose its memory foam quality and becomes basically foam rubber. I bought a couple of target brand pillows and in about a year they became too mushy. The ones I bought that were brand name lasted about twice as long before they became mushy.
I'm a total idiot and everything I say should be viewed in that light.

Love my memory foam pillow/bed. Maybe the best thing I've ever bought (although I've said this to myself a number of times about various other things). Click here to enlarge

Wow, didn't realize that they were that popular, I must have missed that memo, might have saved my wife and I some neck aches...

Chekhonte and others - do you have specific brands that you can recommend? Thanks.

The Tempurpedic pillows are highly rated and are supposed to last pretty long, but they're pricey. I got a two pack of NovaForm (Sleep Innovations) memory foam pillows for $30, and those get pretty good ratings as well.

Brookstone has? this deal with if you buy 2 you get the 3rd one free... Dunno if that helps justify the cost though. There's also supposed to be a $15 off $80 or more for Tempurpedic stuff starting 12/26 I believe.

I have two. One of them, in winter, is hard as a rock unless i warm it up in front of the heater first, and the other isn't, though they are almost the same shape and size. I pack mine and take it when I'm travelling because I can't sleep with normal pillows any longer, unless i want to wake up with a neck and head-ache.

I've been sleeping with memory foam pillows for about 6 years, and a memory foam mattress for over 4 years. I love both and hate it when I have to sleep elsewhere.

My pillows and mattress were bought from Sam's Club, and are the Sleep Innovations brand. Both are very good quality, and are like brand new to this day. The prices are excellent, especially for the quality of the product.

Do expect an adjustment period, but it's a small one for the pillows (about a month for the mattress).

I went with a wool knop filled pillow as when I tried a memory foam one, I found it too firm, overly warm and the smell was too strong (but I`m sensitive in that regard, ymmv).

Regarding smell/toxicity -- you have to let them "outgas". In other words, it should go away.

How washable are they? My allergies dictate that I use washable pillows.
