about half of the music i transferred over locks the phone up. no idea why. i'll retransfer it again tomorrow, but it's kinda irritating.

whats the music do, close the ipod down and send you to the home screen? or lock up the phone and you need to hold the sleep and home button down to reset it?

192 aac files, made in iTunes. it just locks up as soon as it starts to play, and i have to reset. never had a problem with them before.

after having reloaded the music, the only thing i can figure is that lee morgan is not compatible with the iPhone OS 3.0.

wow that sounds crazy, i have had the ipod shut down all the time when i used to make a "on the go" playlist but it would not lock the phone.

i was wrong, the files that don't play were ones i had ripped with Max. they are 192 AAC, but iTunes describes them as MPEG4 Video files. still, they were never a problem before.

Installing OS 3.0 as we speak. This might be the key stone of my new house.

Everything seems to be working just fine with 3.0. Just can't figure out how to get MMS working. Maybe the "final" build that I used isn't that final.

Dickwads. Though I will say their coverage is great out here in my part of the Boston 'burbs. Still, can't wait for their exclusive to expire -- if only to put some competitive pressure on plan pricing.

My thoughts exactly. No 3G here in Oz but I still have to pay for it

And back in CO where I had 3G is sucked bad. Always dropping calls. I wish Sprint or Verizon would get the iPhone. Sprints EVDO Rev A rocks out here.
