I just installed the 3.0 update on my Touch. Their implementation of cut/paste is great, it's very easy and intuitive to use. The landscape keyboard is a very nice feature, I make much less typos and it feels more natural. Spotlight is pretty cool too, though I don't see myself using it much since I keep my inbox clean and I don't really store anything on the Touch except mails, music and videos.

This is a great day for me. I can upgrade to the new 3G S since I am a July renewal (sorry Reks) and more importantly, I got tethering to work.

tethering is going to be handy. did you use the method i linked? there is another method, but it didn't work, for me.

i think that, a year into my contract, i get some kind of discounted rate, so i'll probably get the 3G S then, regardless.

Luckily, I don't have to care about tethering.

Just saying it'll be nice for them to officially catch up with the ball. And would like my 7.2 Mbps 3G though, please.

Tethering is great to have for those times when you need it. The xm/sirius app is now available. I hope it is more reliable than some of the other internet radio apps.

A week? Apple sent me an email this morning that seemed to indicate I could have it delivered to my door Friday if I wanted it.

My wife has the first gen iPhone, which is going to become my son's iTouch-equivalent (ie no phone service). He has Claire's old second gen iPod, so it makes a nice retro combo.
