I just installed the 3.0 update on my Touch. Their implementation of cut/paste is great, it's very easy and intuitive to use. The landscape keyboard is a very nice feature, I make much less typos and it feels more natural. Spotlight is pretty cool too, though I don't see myself using it much since I keep my inbox clean and I don't really store anything on the Touch except mails, music and videos.

This is a great day for me. I can upgrade to the new 3G S since I am a July renewal (sorry Reks) and more importantly, I got tethering to work.![]()
tethering is going to be handy. did you use the method i linked? there is another method, but it didn't work, for me.
i think that, a year into my contract, i get some kind of discounted rate, so i'll probably get the 3G S then, regardless.

Tethering is great to have. I used to be able to do it with my Blackjack. I used the method on this site: help.BenM.at - Mobileconfigs für dein iPhone | BenM.at
Wow, AT&T's on a mini-roll.

Now all they need to do is actually get MMS and tethering working and that HSPA network up and running.![]()
I love you. I am the milkman of human kindness. I will leave an extra pint.
tethering works if you follow the instructions above![]()
Luckily, I don't have to care about tethering.
Just saying it'll be nice for them to officially catch up with the ball. And would like my 7.2 Mbps 3G though, please.

Tethering is great to have for those times when you need it. The xm/sirius app is now available. I hope it is more reliable than some of the other internet radio apps.
it's not. It works, but it's not super reliable

good thread about new features
I'm going to get the new device. Yay.
I want to pick one up tomorrow but I'm not sure I want to deal with lines at the local ATT store. I don't know what to expect. I will probably leave a little early and drive by to see how bad it is. Otherwise, I will order from Apple and wait a week or so to get it.

I'd be interested in hearing how your wife likes the new 3GS compared to the first gen.
