I did the Amarra Mini when it was $395. now it is $295. a good addition to fix computer audio. Computer audio for me=instant headache.

Sent mine back with new impressions by two day on Monday. Crossing my fingers this time.

Ya well, my left side doesn't twist in at all and is very tight(even after a refit that helped), my right side on the other hand seems to fit/seals good, but footfalls are very loud and when i push on the back of the iem toward my head the thumping from my feet decreases 70%. That leads me to believe that either the angle is wrong or it isn't quite tight enough and is moving slightly. The right also has a bad suction effect when it is all the way in which is irritating. The left side even though it is too tight and really hard to get in doesn't have the suction problem or the footfall problem. The both have the footfall thing to an extent, it is just less on the left and the right can get to that level too pushing on it. So maybe a bit less on the front side of the left and another layer on the front side of the right/ or just reimpression and start from scratch i guess. So there is the long of it.

I asked them if i could do a minor adjustment, my dad is a dentist and has polishing and diamond drills ext and i thought i needed a minor one-they said it would void the warranty on the earphones so be careful. I ended up sending mine back and they are better but I still have a slight issue on both sides though i do have a seal and no pain. Many say that you should barely even perceive them being there and if you notice them there is a fit problem. I more than just notice them but the sound is great.

Amarra mini does do flac using the 801 as a dac with the usb input, i just changed around everything to check. But i don't think the usb input does 24 bit of anything, so only flac at 16 bit.

I use something called XLD on my macbook pro. Works perfectly, never have to think about it. On my old PC i used dbpoweramp for years.

Voltron......I donno, just signing up, i use jammm3 on twitter and on the element forum, and I listen to a lot of jamrock so it seemed kinda apprapo. Think i spelled that wrong. Put my same pict up so you guys would know anyway. Quick edit to add about the 801 that I have had less than a month now. There are admittedly some inconveniences but the sound quality is really unequalled for my ears. I bought them to pair with my JH13s, which i do like but of the two items, if i had to choose, i would take the 801 in a heart beat. That is how good I think it sounds, wish i had bought it a year ago.

I have bought two in the last week from Amazon marketplace, one was $75 and the other was $76.87 from eTECH.-that is both were 75. plus 1.87 in shipping.

Phish last summer at Shoreline Amp....13th row, pretty cool. Downloaded a soundboard of the show in 24 bit to listen to when needed.

I bought a bunch of 32g cards right after ordering the 801. The kingston class 4 aren't quite as expensive as some of the new ones. Then you just have to trade them out occasionally.
