  1. Hi all, I'm having a problem with a rev 0.4 offboard amp 450V. Power supply is known to be good and powered another board with no problems. When I fired it up R11(175K) and R10(175K) cooked immediately. D10, D13 and D2 did not light up. All new sand. I checked all the resistors before building. Balance trimpot was set to the middle and offset was set to max. I crossed over the 50k resistors. I just checked the bottom of the board and no shorts. Thanks for any feedback http://imgur.com/xeWBpku
  2. Thanks for organizing the GB I will take 2 sets: 1) 2 sets of amp boards (4 total) 2) 2 sets of single fat PSU boards (4 total)
  3. Thanks Birgir, George and Joamat. That seems to have fixed that issue.
  4. The low voltage power supply output I stated previously was without amp boards connected. With 1 amp board connected (forgot to check before I started taking everything apart) is +/-452v and +14.7v/-14.89v I've attached pictures of one of my amp boards. I've looked it over and there aren't any obvious shorts.
  5. I am having some difficulty setting the offset. I have the v0.6 PSU (450v) and v0.6 offboard amp boards. - Power supply outputs +/-453v and +/-16.3v - I've been able to zero the balance on both boards - all 3 of the LEDs on each amp board light up - the offset hovers around +443V. Occasionally it will drop to +230V and go back up to +443. Adjusting the offset trimpot doesn't seem to affect the offset. This happens on both boards.
  6. Has anyone built their KGSSHV with a Joshua Tree attenuator? I'm wondering if I connecting it to one of the 16VAC secondaries would have any adverse effect on the amp. The JT doesn't use much power and it would save the trouble of installing another toroid. Thanks. Also does anyone have 20 PEEK screws they can sell me?
  7. I'm getting around to building my 0.6 KGSSHV boards. I've already gone through the off-board amps to check all the parts against one of the BOMs out there. I'm working on going through the power supply (mine say Production Rev 0.6) but there doesn't seem to be a good BOM/schematic. Can anyone pass one along? Also my boards have STTH1512 screened on them for the rectifier voltage diodes but I notice on newer versions of the board are using the STTH1210D. Is that the known substitute? Thanks in advance.
