Wifi amazon.com access issue

Recommended Posts

So Julie was trying to purchase a book for one of the girls earlier today. She went to Amazon.com and was greeted with the login screen, not the usual amazon home page. She logged in and then the screen prompted her for her billing address to be updated. She entered that as well and then stopped at the following screen when the website asked for her credit card number and ssn. I came over and tried the same on my phone and macbook air. Same thing. I tried connecting to another wifi network and regular amazon website access. Same with the phone on LTE. Would reseting the wireless router kick out whoever might be causing this nonsense or should I just be changing the wireless router entirely. It is quite a few years old. If the router does need to be changed, is there anything in the range of a refurbished Airport Express that would suit their regular internet browsing habits. Nothing beyond Netflix, school stuff and email. No home networking etc. I looked and the airport express was released a few years ago as well. Is it still a viable option?

PS. I changed both the wifi and the router password and still am getting the same issue.

Fucking fuck. I unplugged the router a while ago but had a feeling that a hacked router would be the only thing that explains the behavior. And yes, I forgot the 'had' in there.

Ordering a refurbished Airport Express right now. Wish they had them at the store...The wiping of the laptops is not terribly bad as they are both on the chopping block anyways but its going to be far more annoying to change all our passwords.
