  1. You know, I normally hate harsh vocals. But every once in a while, it brings me joy. Like this. (And Nemophila.)
  2. Oliver Lieb's latest release -- nice background music, pretty much designed for coding/researching/reading/&c. Just energetic enough to energize me; just diverse enough to keep my interest without demanding to be engaged with my frontal lobe. https://oliverlieb.bandcamp.com/album/recovered-frequencies-vol-1
  3. So...almost famous Amish? That sounded more alliterative in my head. Me: still working my way through UFO on Tubi
  4. Matt Elliott, Only Myocardial Infarction Can Break Your Heart https://mattelliott.bandcamp.com/album/only-myocardial-infarction-can-break-your-heart LOL that title. But the music is typically beautiful, very much in line with most everything he's done since Drinking Songs -- fundamentally rooted on acoustic guitar and his voice.
  5. I really liked this. I don't even know how to describe it -- it's like somewhere between the jazz of Mammal Hands and GoGo Penguin, and ... post-rock? IDK...
  6. Buckethead, Electric Tears example:
  7. Unrelated: Rivers Cuomo, Randum Cuverz
  8. As a diehard KJ fan, I have my "more favourite" and "less favourite" solo piano concert albums of his. I will have to revisit some of them now, thanks for the unintended rec!
  9. By all means, share away. If this isn't the place for it, I don't know what is. Those of us who have them all love our floofy children. ❤️ to Cora.
  10. Happy birthday! (party favour noise)
  11. Robert Fripp @ 80, the series (not just the intro, there's already a couple episodes out) I won't say one of my biggest influences, but I am deeply fascinated with everything he thinks, says, and does -- I want to be influenced by him, but that's a rather high bar -- so will definitely be watching this series with interest.
  12. Ooooh, that was Elvis Costello, not Randy Newman. 🙃
  13. Split Enz, True Colours (everything except "I Got You")
