Gilliab Welch Harrow and the Harvest on vinyl. Not really into the whole folk/minimal thing but got this on recommendation and it’s fantastic. Sound quality is exquisite - Gillian essentially started up her on label specifically to cut and master the lacquer directly from the analog tape to her specifications, it’s incredible.

I have been lucky thus far with the airpods and doing laundry, but I have washed, unintentionally, the regular apple earbuds several times in different conditions and they remain. glad to hear they survived. I have switched to the sony WH1000XM2 for doing stuff around the house. Likely, it could be the zombie apocalypse going on around me, I would not notice.

I'm unsure of why the Kay Outlet had the Oris Thelonious Monk LE on clearance, let alone why they have Oris watches when Kay proper doesn't, but I had a bunch of Kay certificates that were about to expire (all those Bulova limited editions bought from Kay for crazy low prices, if you remember), so on June 20th, that Oris Thelonious Monk LE will be mine. I've always really liked this watch, but never pulled the trigger. For $600, brand new? Yes please.

It's not just a question of Mk1 or Mk2. If I counted them right in total there are three versions of each (plus the 'Mk2' vs 'A' paint scheme) But generally they all sound like SR-007s, so just get one for a good price which you can resell if you don't like it. The cable entry can fail on the Mk1, but it's not something that can't be fixed. And if you need replacement head- or earpads, they are only available in black color.

They are pretty good at customizing the level of noise suppression. There is an iOS app that pairs with the headphones and samples the air pressure around you (let’s say for airplane use for instance,) surroundings noise level and then applies your preferences.
