  2. I owe everyone a long past-due update. Long story short, I injured my right hand in early April right around the time we set out to test the final boards before sending the Gerber files for estimates. Actually got parts ordered and delivered but I was way too optimistic with the recovery schedule of my hand and I am finally to the point I think I can handle a soldering iron. I am back in touch with Kerry to sort out a few things needed for testing. Apologize for the lack of communication for weeks. Hopefully we will be back on track with the GB soon!

  3. I finished the series over the holiday. What a fun ride that was! Rowling created a magnificent world, and I had a wonderful time in the 2-months I spent there while reading the books. I have a lot of respect for her in getting people exited to read books again.

  6. Husband Down A silent reminder of the dangers of shopping together................. Husband Down A husband and wife are shopping in their local supermarket. The husband picks up a case of beer and puts it in their cart. "What do you think you're doing?" asks the wife. "They're on sale, only $20 for 24 cans" he replies. "Put them back, we can't afford them" demands the wife. They carry on shopping. A few aisles farther on, the woman picks up a $40 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket. "What do you think you're doing?" asks the husband. "It's my face cream. It makes me look beautiful," replies the wife. Her husband retorts: "So does 24 cans of beer and it's half the price." That's him, there in Aisle 5.

  13. Supposedly starting from Phonitor 2 they're really good. XE has the same amp topology, but with a proper balanced output. The inner signal paths are SE, as doing a balanced X-feed matrix would cost a fortune.

  18. Grasshopper: Master, you have taught me well, may I show you what I am capable of? The master releases two flies and pulls out his sword. He nods at Grasshopper. Grasshopper unsheathes his sword. He watches them for a couple seconds, and then steel flashes, and two buzzings become one, as one of the flies falls. Master swipes at the remaining fly and there is a fraction of a second of silence, then the buzzing resumes. Grasshopper is confused. Master: Your fly is down, but mine will never have children.

  19. Okay, now mid-way through Too Old To Die Young (Prime). THIS IS SOMETHING SPECIAL. Is it meandering, indulgent, and too violent? Yep. Can I sell it to you as great? I'm still not sure. But if you can put up with its vices, do the practically exhausting work to meet halfway, and float on its language and tension, it's an exciting ride to watch an artist create (and only one will take you here). Like movies (which each of these 60-90 minute structured episodes pretty much are), television is such a collaborative medium, it's exciting to see an actual personality surface. Many critics have issues with this series. I don't blame them. I also don't think there are many television achievements this grand, even in this new golden age we're in. It's pretty dark though. Be prepared.
