  1. Bitter Wheat starring John Malkovich was awesome. It was basically a parody of Harvey Weinstein. The name of Malkovich's character was Barney Stein, a fat movie mogul who comes to grief amid a sexual abuse scandal. If you get a chance to see Malkovich on stage, jump at it. He is a truly great stage actor. How on earth David Mammut got away with a script that even had a similar name in it is amazing.

  4. I am reading it as well, and have recommended it to others. Some real good info for those of us who don't sleep nearly as well as we should. There is a lot to learn that isn't intuitive.

  5. Dunhill has been sick the last few days. My neighborhood had a parade, and I couldn't get to my usual vet. Went to the vet where my mother used to take her dogs. They don't take walk-ins. I didn't know that. They took us. Three shots later, and the puking has stopped and he is hungry again.

  6. Went to a wedding last night and decided that I'd already tracked enough steps/activity that I could wear an actual watch. And yes, I know the date is wrong. I was in a rush to get ready and didn't feel up to fiddling.

  7. “Why We Sleep” by Matthew Walker. One of the most profound and illuminating books I can remember reading in recent years. (It’s not a rhetorical question either, he is one of the world’s most eminent researchers in neuro-imaging.)

  11. Hell; Andy Warhol didn't even set or wind his watches, so I think you get a pass. I miss my 300M, now. It really is a damned good looking watch!

  12. He did a very good podcast recently with a longevity/wellness expert I follow and sounds like top bloke too (he’s a Brit). It’s in three parts and I’ve linked the opener below. https://peterattiamd.com/matthewwalker1/

  13. Well spotted I didnt notice that, your amp board is slightly different from my one... I wish there was version numbers on the pcb for the amp board... my board comes from the file kgbhver6sbipolar.zip. your board has 5V ac for the heaters rather than 6.3... so I think it might be the directly heated triode version of kgbhver6sbipolar.zip which is kgbhver6sbipolardht.zip..... ugh howmanywordscantheyputonafilenamebeforeusingunderscores??? maybe this thread needs renaming to "blue_hawaii_newbees_trying_to_understand_the_different_versions"... ?
