  1. The new T2 has behaved in a good manner for a whole month. Now qualified for old good tubes... ...Amperex Bugle Boy to the left and Brimar to the right.

  4. Today I joined the Qobuz family. They don’t like Sweds but with a little from NordVPN they think I’m an English Brexiteer. Found this on Qobuz - in flac 96kHz 24bit: Esbjörn Svensson Trio - Live in Gothenburg

  7. Googled 'Qobuz', live and learn Switch guitar, switch deities. Trying (and still failing) to sound like him. Say what you will about his prowess or skills, his tone is out of this world: Multiple albums really, i have them in a row and just play along.

  8. Yes, heat sinks and front/rear panels are from modushop.biz. Brackets and aluminum plates for top/bottom covers from local shops. Drilling, tapping and other crafting done in kitchen.

  10. I bought the album after listening to these based on this post. Actually, these guys remind me of Roxy Music alot. I will have to say that this is massively overproduced (even though I do like it).

  13. I cut my teeth on that album. Didn’t realize there were different versions, but I probably have the same one your brother had. The bizarre processing on “I Wanna Be Committed” resonated with me even when I was an actual, literal child, rather than the childman I am now.

  16. This weekend I flew down to Bangkok to meet the man himself, Wachara. For me the the entire RR1 Project was a dream - to develop a fully in-house Headphone with Bespoke parts specific to the Headphone and to meet my Heroes along the way. RR1 has enabled me to meet some of the greatest people in the Industry worldwide and that's the only success I see in the Headphone. Everything else to me is irrelevant. With Wachara, I've met all the Heroes I wanted to meet and that ends the RR1 chapter for me. Kaldas was named after my Grandfather and our goal with the company has always been quite diverse. We started the Headphone project knowing we would be in financial turmoil by the end of it and that is indeed, the truth. I will be managing our Headphone division not for long now, as we expand our production and settle the Manufacturing, the responsibilities will be handed over to one of my longest serving Engineer who was instrumental in the RR1 development. I will divert my attention to some of my other dreams. Thank you to everyone whom I've met along the way. Those memories will serve me well for a long time. Where it all started for me. Visiting G.R.A.S. in Denmark Meeting Birgir in Iceland At Audeze HQ in Los Angeles Klippel in Dresden And finally.

  17. The 323 had a p-channel jfet as the input, +/-350v power supplies, 2sa1968 as the current source for the drivers etc. The 353 is a srm717 with all of the extra transistors removed. Very similar to kgss. D50 is identical to 353 running at slightly lower power and lower voltage. Current source is resistors on both. T8000 also uses resistors for the current source. seems that stax has run out of 2sa1968. d10 uses apex opamps with a power supply of +/-175, not great for large voltage swings. stax may be forced into using parts in the future that it does not want to use for some reason.
