I googled Tyll and this came up (posted about a week ago): Looks like he is the go-to DJ in the Nomad circles? http://nomadcentercamp.com/6 points

Made an impulse buy for this intriguing 300B SET, which is turning out to have great resolution and bass definition for a 300B SET, through speakers, headphone amp, AND driving electrostats via Stax transformer! https://www.stereophile.com/content/gramophone-dreams-27-elekit-tu-8600r-amplifier-kit 1126191526a by drjlo2, on Flickr3 points

I have the LX521, which was the pinnacle of Siegrfried Linkwitz's (RIP) loudspeaker design prowess. However, someone I know has the LX-mini (shown above, with the optional subwoofer, designated the LX-mini +2), and we did a shootout between the my LX521 and his LX-mini (without sub). The result was remarkably close in terms of ability to give a wholly believable phantom image. The only difference was bass extension, and the various LX-mini versions (with either closed box or open baffle subs) sort that problem out. I have felt no need to upgrade the speakers for the five years I have been listening to them.2 points

The music just popped into my head randomly this afternoon. I didn't even know how to spell Bamboléo until today. ? Now I've got a couple of Gipsy Kings albums in my basket. Some of their back catalog CDs seem to be out of print, but they are still available on Amazon and probably the various digital and streaming formats. Nuevo flamenco, here I come!1 point

You probably didn’t stare at it long enough. If you stared at it longer, you’d fall into a suggestible trance, and probably lose a couple hours.1 point

RIP Clive James. Better known in England and Australia than here, I think, but a great gadfly, writer and wit. https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-50578512 One of my favorites of his. https://www.the-tls.co.uk/articles/clive-james-waking-up-in-europa/ And his last poem.0 points
