I've seen those monster speakers before. Monster room, that I think he had specially made for the purpose. But why the clocks? He obviously hasn't done the swept sine at decent power in the room to find out what is resonating. At least the room is symmetrical. Swept sine is a damned good way of finding out what is rattling and resonating in a room. From Nelson Pass (he of Pass Labs) in http://www.firstwatt.com/pdf/art_elpipeo.pdf "Funny things happen when your speakers are flat to 13Hz. You have to be careful about your tone arm, your windows, your neighbors, and your bowels."3 points

I do my pork shoulders sort of like Naaman does briskets. Dry rub, cook till ~150ish internal, wrap (I add apple juice to the foil), cook for a few hours that way till the internal gets pretty high but no real target, and then unwrap and cook until it hits 200. The rub I use is brown sugar, salt, pepper, cumin, garlic. I did a 4lb shoulder last weekend and it took a solid 9 hours and probably could have gone longer. It still pulled ok, and tasted great, but I let it go too long before i wrapped it. Basically I'd budget around 2hours per pound, to be conservative. More if the but is partially frozen like mine was.1 point

Hi. I have a very, very, very annoying teen gamer who is JUST SO INCREDIBLY FUCKING LOUD on his headset. It's driving everyone else in the house crazy. My sense is he's not hearing his own outgoing hooting and screeching over the game sounds -- how do I boost his voice level in the headphones so he gets better volume feedback and I don't have to FUCKING KILL HIM? Please.1 point
