As a Pink Floyd fan, with my favorites being mostly pre-1972, this is just fantastic (that is really what I think! 😄)3 points

This may be the worst of what 2020 has to offer given the lasting impact this could have on our highest court.1 point

Fuck Fuck Fuck. RIP to an incredible woman, and incredible PERSON. And RIP to the sanity of the Supreme Court. I only wish (hope) that they could delay a new judge the same way they did it to Obama....1 point

Draft of BIAS 580V regulator. Works in LTspice. After the voltage doubler is a Maida regulator. Q1 is a to247 mosfet, C1-3 are 27.5 mm film caps and rest of parts are surface mounted. For Maida regulator see: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snoa648/snoa648.pdf?ts=1600430373786&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/vendor-s-bazaar/209067-21st-century-maida-regulator.html https://neurochrome.com/collections/power-supplies/products/21st-century-maida-http://www.pmillett.com/HV_reg.html1 point

Tip for the future - in situations like that look to flip the larger component on the bottom of the board. As long as you are using standoffs that will allow for clearance to the chassis it ends up with less of a cramped situation and the potential for leads to get closer to things than you would like.1 point

Thanks to a few people on here, I managed to dodge getting boards made and managed to buy existing boards for all the bits I need. I am still waiting on a delivery tom come in over the next week or so with the CFA boards and a few other bits and bobs but have received some GRLV boards and a set of v1 attenuator boards and a v2 board. I have done some SMD work in the past with the soldering iron but thought I would up my game this time round and give a hot air rework gun a go. Kerry sent me 2 v1 attennuator boards - 1 already populated and one bare, as well as all the parts to build it, so I finally pulled my finger out today and built it up -1 point
