  1. What the heck.... But to interrupt the trend.....Karen and I decided last minute to go up to Maine condo today, and was well worth it with a visit to a trail in Biddeford. Near a golf course and Goose Rocks Beach, it's part of an Audubon Sanctuary.

  7. For some reason I don't find this thread when I look for it in "offtopic" or "music" A short video with good hints and cues to reharmonize tunes. This guy knows his shit but his videos are more entertaining than educative most of the times.

  9. Thanks guys- it took me a certain amount of flailing around to get the modular sounding decent. Gain staging inside the instrument is more important than you first realise (feel free to point and laugh, as it's obvious in hindsight). Each module has its quirks and requires familiarity and obviously the permutations get complex quite quickly. I had a lot of misgivings that pursuing it was a mistake- but eventually it started to to sound the way I wanted. I've been enjoying weird non-linear workflows, which were what I was hoping for at the start- it's more like flying a steampunk zepplin than playing a piano. It's totally possible to build "normal" instruments with it, but where's the fun in that? (At least, for me, who isn't a proper musician, and mostly listens to things that aren't proper music..)

  10. |m/ Anyone seen the dog? Corona rates in the US. If it's not for sits, why is it made of warm? Possibly the first mixing table, created in 1920 by western electric with model d-86850.

  11. 50% off all Criterion DVDs and Blu-rays over at B&N. Maybe the perfect time to pre-order the 15 disc Essential Fellini box set? https://m.barnesandnoble.com/b/criterion/_/N-1p0i?sk_page=dept

  12. If you have some transformers floating around, it would be simple enough to make a cheap linear supply to try out. Add some beefy caps in a CRC or CLC setup...
