  3. Here you go chocolate Regarding Voltage input to the 007t The power supply transformer has 7 tap on the input side: Yellow= common (winding 1) 1 White=same as yellow (winding 1) 2 Green=100v tap (winding 1) 3 Purple=120v tap (winding 1) 4 Black=common (winding 2) 5 Brown=100v (winding 2) 6 Blue=120v (winding 2) Six jumper bar for voltage change number 1 thru 6 1 thru 4 are to select:1=100v 2=120v 3=100v 4=120v 5=220/240 6=100v/120v So for 100v you install one bar each for 1,3,6. For 120v you install one bar each for 2,4,6. You will need to do this for your 120v For 220v/240v you install on bar each 3,5. Unscrew the two screw at the back They remove the sStax plate covering the transformer Carefully remove the board and change the desired voltage.

  4. I was one of those idiots who hated the halos when they were proposed. Now I love them! A major reality check for F1.

  5. Here is an attempt to make a “smd raal uberamp driver”. I followed Kevin’s schematic. The big resistor is for feedback/gain, I guess 1.5 – 2 W is required and a few components on “solder” side. The real challenge will be the power sections. 3A x * +/-24V * 8 * balanced - might be a bit extreme for headphone amplifier…

  6. I've seen more [virtual] concerts during the pandemic than the last five years combined and the best by far was Idiot Prayer - Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace (said by a non-Cave fan). Streaming now with vinyl coming in a couple days.

  10. I soldered the surface mount components for a Universal Signal Isolator shield for the Arduino DUE. This will allow me to control my Buffalo DAC and add a TFT screen to it as well http://www.dimdim.gr/arduino/universal-signal-isolator-shield-for-the-arduino-due/

  12. Three upcoming projects: 1. 21”x16”x12” Box with lights and hinged glass inset front. Microphone mounts on the bottom board to hold three mics. Can do pocket hole connections I guess. 2. Vertical Shoe stand. Either Single board in the middle or two on the outside with angled shelves attached. 3. 2x4 Acoustic Panels with feet. This one is pretty easy. Pretty sure I am going to need some more tools to complete. Which do I need more, Domino joiner or router? Can’t think of anything to routerize except maybe power cord run for the light. Also, for the box and shoe stand, hardwood or plywood?

  16. Weirdly, to get TB2 running to my Presonus Quantum the Apple TB3 to TB2 adapter was a non-starter. The dongle cognoscenti informed me StarTec has the preferred solution, and it works a treat.

  18. you better take a real good picture of the voltage selector block. there are many different kinds. if blue and purple are jumpered together then its 120v if brown and green are wired together its 100v white should be wired to grey the correct fuse for 100v should be 1.5 amp

  22. I bit. I bought the macbook pro m1 16gb/512 to be delivered before the end of the year. I'll primarily use it with logic pro and final cut pro...some of my plug ins may take a while to get ported tho.

  23. Speaking of Walkman,.. I've started watching The Crown season 4 and a scene with Dianna in Buckingham Palace rollerskating listening to her Walkman really brought back some personal memories of those times. My ex-wife Gael worked at a coffeehouse and she'd skate with Elvis Costello on her Walkman in the parking lot after closing. She too was achingly beautiful and it was a pleasure to just stand there and watch!
