Yes Identical bias for all 4 phases, I have it all out on the bench now and will test and probe to see what I can find. As well as implementing simmocon’s mod for 400V.
I actually got them from ebay. I think Kevin had posted a link in one of the threads, probably the Dynalo thread. Ebay isn't showing me who or what these are (only goes back to 2020 purchases). I'll keep looking.
EDIT: it was something like these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/254636284745?hash=item3b49815b49:g:CGIAAOSw8s1gnfky
First testdrive with amps and psus hacked together. Works fine! Input voltage for the 78/7912 dropped to 31V DC. That's great!
Did a few hours of listening - no flaws to be heard. Had some great fun there and quite forgot that I was testing a new amp!
A tiny bit of 50Hz mains voltage hum to be heard, but that's probably because of no shielding at the moment.
Next: integrate the headphone protection board...
Machine Gun Kelley - mainstream sellout
Yeah, dump on pop punk all you want, but I am 100% here for this! Bought tickets to see the tour when he comes through the Bay Area this summer.
For cutting small things I have this cute saw:

The soldering pins I source from a German distributor... similar things should be available everywhere:

The corresponding lugs are these here:

Finally done!
I regrettably sold my previous KGSSHV Carbon a while ago, this one’s not going anywhere soon.
This is a 400V, 19mA version, using the ground plane amp board, Sumr transformer and Goldpoint V47 attenuator. I bought the heatsinks from China and had all the drilling and panels done at Front Panel Express. I pulled out the Canon 5D from the cupboard for some tasty shots.
