  2. Oh Julie Around Midnight Julie London 1960 https://album.link/i/716392554 Example: A song for Summer - but one of my new favorites. Just a lovely crooning album from Julie. Beautifully recorded and performed.

  3. 50yo Talking Book Stevie Wonder 1972 https://album.link/i/1440485202 Example: He had two albums in '72 - This one is the one to listen to (the other Music of My Mind). Two big hits on this with You Are The Sunshine Of My Life and Superstition with the latter being a killer track to this day. But, I definitely been missing out on some additional sweet tracks. It is a mix of good funk (example track that I wanted to share) and super soft tracks (You and I), showing future directions into 'I just called to say I love you'. I don't mind the mix, but I would have had different order of the tracks. The slow downs are too slow, it takes the energy out of the flow, where it should just give you a break and transition into the next track. Superstition should be on a rise to a peek, not the start of a rise. Small complaint, enjoyable album. And of course it ends with a track from one of my favorite movies: There are a lot of rules.

  9. People go both ways with the maple type, but I am thinking hard maple. Some say the softer variant is less likely to damage a workpiece, but I really see no way that the workbench is going to damage a work piece because it is too hard. Also, I found about 50BF of hard maple over in the storage unit so I think that will be enough for a top.

  10. If I can get the maple for the top I will just do the ash legs and walnut accents/tool tray.

  12. Well, the power came back on later that night. My mother was in the hospital until Monday. She had emergecy surgery to fix an intestinal problem that had been going on for nearly a decade. I'm now going to be here in scenic western Mass until Jan 5th. I'm not sure how long my mother will be here. There are a great many implications here, but the end result is that I will be spending the holidays in W.Mass, but not doing things like resuming my radio show (the gear for which is in boxes.) Definitely some interesting times going on right now.

  13. Today has gone utterly off the rails. I am supposed to move out of the house I've been in for 22 years on Monday. The power went out an hour ago. Not fully, but a massive voltage sag. 60V coming out of the walls. My sainted, octogenarian mother is staying with me. She's been feeling ill for hours. She said she was feeling faint and asked me to call an ambulance. She list left in it. I'm staying here for now to make sure the house stays upright while National Grid defends their title as Most Incompetent Entity in the Known Universe.
