  1. Goncalo Alves or possibly bocote would be my guess. If it feels exceptionally heavy and dense, then maybe granadillo or cocobolo.
  2. Of that's koa, you won the lottery.
  3. Single 1/4" kerf dado. https://www.infinitytools.com/8-flat-top-dado-saw-blades Or https://www.boschtools.com/us/en/boschtools-ocs/router-tables-ra1141-201859-p/
  4. I don't even really like saxophones very much (sorry @MexicanDragon), and I think the first three notes of this song are one of the greatest sounds ever recorded. I could listen to them over and over again -- fortunately the song allows just that. The original lacks the same intense energy, but probably has a better groove

  6. https://sklep.toroidy.pl/en_US/index I've not used them so I don't know the quality, but it's another option. Also, they're expensive but I still like the lundahl power transformers, particularly for use close to a circuit. Just be aware of their weird way of stating specs.
  7. Fortunately for your youth, Ms Mitchell seems to be okay.

  9. I think it was the prevalence of dorm room posters and coffee table books on display in corporate waiting rooms. I'm not expressing an opinion. Simply asking if the general grumpiness among budding photo types from 30 years ago is still prevalent.
  10. When I was in college taking photo courses, there was no dirtier word than Ansel Adams. Even Weston had a better reputation. (This was in the days when Serrano was all the rage.) Has his reputation been rehabilitated among the cognoscenti?
  11. Al Jaffee, Inventive Cartoonist at Mad Magazine, Dies at 102 https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/10/arts/al-jaffee-dead.html
  12. My Pixel phone tells me when, and by how much, I am out of level. Consequently, all pictures of my cats are very correct. From the numerous posts you have made, it seems that it is finally time to get off the pot, be honest with yourself, and admit what your true calling is.
  13. Man who made £1.2m from fake vinyl records caught out by Clash fan "Hutter, 55, from Ringwood, Hampshire, was given a suspended jail sentence, ordered to do 250 hours unpaid work and told to wear a tag for three months." https://www.theguardian.com/music/2023/apr/05/man-who-made-12m-from-fake-vinyl-records-caught-out-by-clash-fan
