  1. Awesome shirts and happy b day Tyll!
  2. If that color was on a Strat' it would be called Sea Foam Green. Always dug that.
  3. If you're that stoned Ric, be sure and watch The Munsters.
  4. Glad you caught me with my patented "Who Farted" look on display. Regardless of how I looked, I've been having a great time this year and I was very happy to see Ric. It's been great chatting with Craig and his wife. It's been way too long.
  5. I agree! If you think you're having a serious medical issue, call 911! That's what they're there for.

Good one Ric! Can you say Horder!
  7. A buddy of mine has been working with Winston Ma from FIM on a book about the "golden era" of Decca Records. During the last 18 months he has spent a good deal of time in the UK picking the minds of the folks who were involved with recording some of the most loved classical recordings of any era. Decca: Supreme Stereophonic Legacy was published and has been officially released. The 2 volume set includes 4 hi rez CD's. http://www.elusivedisc.com/Decca-Supreme-Stereophonic-Legacy-Ultra-HD-CD-Box-Set-4CD-Book/productinfo/FIMUHD088/
  8. This year they've combined headphones and vinyl in the same room. I'm not sure who's going to be selling lps but it looks like they're expecting a bunch.
  9. More of what I will be listening to and a heads up. A live stream from Lincoln Center Live, the Campbell Brothers/ Sacred Steel will be playing A Love Supreme. Cassandra Wilson is headlining the show that starts @ 7:30 ET. http://lincolncenter.magnify.net/

    The Killing

I agree! Netflix usually screams it from the rooftops when they release an entire season of a popular show (or at least they send me multiple emails). They seemed to have stopped doing that with the latest season of "Hemlock Grove" (or maybe I just didn't care that much). But "The Killing" has gotten so much great press that I would think they'd be proud to have saved it.

    The Killing

Wow, I had no idea that Netflix picked up the series! So all of season 4 was released 8/1! Awesome! I could really use a little Holder in my life right now. He always reminds me how far "rock bottom" is and how grateful I should be that I've never been down there!
  12. Sorry to hear about your loss Wayne. It sounds like she lived an admirable life.
  13. Happy Belated B Day! Hope it was a blast!
  14. I'm sure I'll love the Prius too. Seeing the BMW go made me sad (which was unexpected). Talk about a 1st world issue!
  15. Said Goodbye to an old friend today. Sold my 1990 BMW325i! I've had her for 14 years of loyal service and even though she still drove like a dream, I was ready for a change. A decade or so ago a buddy asked why I keep buying manual trannys and I told him that it's about the only sporty thing left in my life (half joking )but I used to alway tell guys that until you've spun a car at least once, you have no idea where it's limits are. Well, my new car's a Prius and I think that just about says it all.
  16. I knew that you'd enjoy that one Antonio! Happy B Day! I was biting my nails from the first lap to the finish! A great race like that makes up for 5 or 6 boring ones IMHO. Lots of beautiful women in the paddocks too!
  17. I've gotten hooked on Al Kooper's monthly article from the Morton Report. Kooper (Bob Dylan, Super Session, Blood Sweat and Tears etc) has always been a highly opinionated artist/producer and no matter how you feel about his personality, just playing on Electric Lady Land buys him a good bit of respect in my book. So, check it out. How I relate personally to the music list goes up and down a little from month to month, but I can't say that there's ever been one that didn't put a little fire in my heart. http://www.themortonreport.com/entertainment/music/new-music-for-old-people-braid-the-fray-ruthie-foster-owen-pallett-and-more/
  18. Really enjoyed Germany! The fight between Alonzo and Riccardo was a classic and the way that Lewis worked his way through the field was just amazing! I'm glad to hear more and more complaints from folks like Bernie (racing taxicabs) about the current state of the formula. Having F1 presided over by an organization based in a country who refuses to have an F1 race any longer because of environmental issues and general lack of interest,.. well, I can't say what's going on is out of the blue!
  19. Wow! All this confirms that the best way to get home furnishings is by home invasion. Let your neighbors work out all the kinks then wait till they go on vacation.
  20. A great all American actor! It was tough not to feel a personal connection with just about every character he played. He will continue to touch generations to come. Rip Rockfish.
  21. Holy cow! Scary stuff but at least you have personal experience on how to handle these issues. Enjoy the trip!
  22. Charlie Haden I was shocked that he was 76! http://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/12/arts/music/charlie-haden-influential-jazz-bassist-is-dead-at-76.html What will the triplets sing? http://www.hadentriplets.com/
  23. Congrats on the new companion Dusty. I hope you guys have a long and rich relationship.
