  1.

I feel sad that some posts have been deleted at the other forum. I usually feel uncomfortable posting here, but I think the hostility keeps the noise down. I for one have done some unwise questions regarding electronics and all the knowledgeable head-casers were always patient to explain the basics. Nevertheless, what I really appreciate here is the freedom of speech.

    Sorry for the long post...

lol, I like the portion of your post bolded above.  Nothing wrong with your English.  Certainly better than I could do in another language.

  2. I remember one post about soldering at HF and noticed that it was removed, not sure if it was yours. That post was not informative, it just was a statement about bad soldering without any evidence. It is understandable after reading this thread but was just mystifying in the HF context. What was the statement about soldering base on? The writer didn't seem to own the amp, where had he seen it? Or had hadn't he seen it at all and just "knew" that it must be bad because it was Cavalli?

It is easy to remove such a post becuase it can be supposed to be only bad-mouthing. It would be much more difficult to remove it if clear evidence is presented and if it is removed, the censoring will be obvious.

spritzer, thanks for the informative presentation.

And what "evidence" would you suggest be posted, keeping in mind the policies over there?

  3. Actually, the fingerprint detection, to me, is a big deal.  I would use that shit all the time.  I am constantly buying music, movies, games, etc. on my device AND LOCKING it for and from a certain Little Monkey.  Not having to enter in my password all the time would be real nice.

Until some mugger steals it and cuts off my thumb.

  4. I haven't heard it, so there's that, but I have had generally good experiences with their products: HeadStreamer and MusicStreamerII.  One thing I did not like about the HeadStreamer was that the firmware could not be updated via a Mac (PC only).  One thing I do not like about the MusicStreamer II is that it suffers dropouts from some unpowered USB ports.  Otherwise, I think they generally make good sounding stuff at reasonable prices.
