  1. Perhaps the person who assembled the one I am enjoying now may be available. Keep watching this forum for more details I would guess.
  2. I have bought a few cds worth of tracks from them and the quality is pretty good. I have also downloaded Music Giants and Linn selections which have a lot more jazz and music not readily available around here.
  3. A 1:100 scale model of the Cathedral of Nortre Dame-
  4. Araujo Cab and Velvet Glove Shiraz. Shall be real nice in about four to five years.
  5. Definitely a winner for the cost. Exactly how good time will tell over the next few days.
  6. :prettyprincess: An easy fix. Basically it was one of the nuts from the screw that holds the XLR cup to the chassis. I had the same issue with my Audio Aero cdp when it arrived, must be a world wide XLR nut conspiracy. Time for listening.
  7. Yes it appears to be a Pars Metals chassis and it would be a pretty simple procedure for me this evening. I was just uncomfortable in opening up someone elses property and needed you guys to say it's OK. Fingers crossed it is not something major, you should see the box.
  8. I received the Buffalo today but the post office mangled the box pretty badly. I will go out this week and pick up two boxes to double box this puppy for you guys next in line. There is one problem though, something is loose in the case and I can see and hear it rattling around inside. It appears to be a small nut but I won't know until I open the case. Since Naaman is offline do you guys think it would be OK to take a look to ensure nothing major is wrong? It would not be a good idea to fire this up knowing something is loose rattling around inside. I feel awkward because this is not my unit and there is no way to reach Naaman for permission first. Obviously if it is something major I will repack the Buffalo and ship it to Naaman in CO.
  9. X2, wishing your friend a speedy recovery. Like 909 says probaly the best medicine for your friend is to have as many friends try to take time to stop by and visit him as often as possible.

Awesome! I used that reference last week regarding a(hole) analyst I dislike and no one knew what I was talking about. Must be my Southern California accent or sumthin'.

  14. Just wait, the dollar is due to weaken more so than it has this past weak.
  15. It's not working now. FYI
  16. Since I don't want to get I will take a picture and post it tomorrow.
  17. Sorry to hear that Luis. Looks like the hardware plague is making it's rounds. I got a bit of it a couple of months ago.
  18. Probably terrifying based on my experiences last week.
  19. Stay safe and we will be looking for your homecoming posts.
  20. The Wustof and Henkels blades are way too soft for me. The softness has some advantages in that they sharpen with a a few minutes on the stone, but I would rather have a higher maintenance high carbon forged blade any time for the sheer smooth and effortless slicing they provide. Most commercial chef knives sold in retail stores will have high chromium content to make them stainless and like most cases there is a trade off and the trade off is a soft blade. I use a my Shun 10 inch Damascus for big dinner parties requiring a lot of food prep which is fine in most cases but nothing beats my hand forged single edge Mitsubishi white steel Santouko style for slicing everything fast and neat. I agree with Reks though for commercially available chef knives in the affordable range nothing beats Global and Shun.
  21. I think it is time for a new chef knife to go with the new kitchen gear. http://www.newwestknifeworks.com/store/phoenixknivesitem/the-9
  22. How'd you do dat? Wish I could add infinity to my posts once in a while.
