  1. Good reflection Sechtdamon
  2. I ask from ignorance. I have the Dynalo MkII "normal" (TH components with SMD sand) and if I remember correctly, transistors were 40~45ºc and I already seemed very hot for to be SMD. I think the maximum temperature of the sand is about 150ºc but I wonder if this will not be bad for the other components or the pcb.
  3. I had not had time to listen to this. For a moment I thought I was wrong and that it was a Zepp record. In some cuts, the voice is almost identical to that of Plant. Good discovery. Thank you
  4. Pianist Bugge Wesseltoft, bassist Dan Berglund and computer whiz Henrik Schwarz. "Trialogue"
  5. My new Di2 with new battery model, Dura Ace chain and d-fly.
  6. Is there much difference between 10k vs 50k? for balanced it´s easier to find 10k pot.
  7. I'm not sure if that's Ray's amp. I have not found documentation about the Blackhole on "Stax mafia circuit boards", only references to the dark/dork star.
  8. Oh I'm sorry I was looking at this scheme and I thought it was about that Opa. I guess it's a dead end.
  9. Do you mean OPA541? Mouser has stock (OPA541AP) from TI. OPA541AP
  10. I use 10K (Dynahi bal. and Dynalo MKII)
  11. Beethoven Symphony nº9. Sir Roger Norrington
  12. I'm sorry to rescue this old thread. I've seen some schemes in the Stax mafia circuit boards but I don´t know if this ampli step finally "production". The fact is that I would not mind doing one of these amps and maybe someone else is attracted to the proyect.
  13. Maybe it would be a good time to explore less-known projects from Dr. Gilmore.
  14. Although Stax bought thousands of semiconductors, its demand is not comparable to a real giants of the industry. It probably does not economically compensate to produce old sand only because a small manufacturer needs a few thousand devices. I doubt that Stax adopts a circuit that has not been designed by themselves. I suppose it's a question of being proud.
  15. Happy Birthday Dusty!!!!!

The best thing you can do is a "provisional" assembly. You have very little space. I would rotate the amplifier pcb´s. Heatsinks with direction of the PSU/trafo
  17. Not bad for a 5500$ amplifier
  18. ...and now for dessert: Misfits "Collection 2" ?
  19. Thanks Helium I don´t buy in Digikey for shipping costs (I live in a corner of the world) Mouser is mainly where I usually buy the components and the STN9360 has been unavailable for a very long time. I bought 20 to have them for future projects and they are in BO since before summer. RS has a warehouse in Spain so I decided to buy some now. I prefer to have components and not use them before that need some and not have it.
