RIP Peter Schickele aka P.D.Q. Bach
After Looney Tunes, he was my next most significant childhood introduction to classical music. Rest easy, Peter.

I fuckin' hate the tats, but turns out he's a decent actor.

I've never had a Weber Kettle but am becoming sorely tempted. How well it accommodate a two-zone fire?

If you get any of the IMS with the nanotech coating, be mindful that espresso detergent will strip the coating. Also, yes, the Acaia Pearl is a must have, AFAIC.

That was my intro to The Flaming Lips. I had the pleasure of seeing them while they were touring promoting Oczy Mlody. It was a small venue, so an intimate experience. Oddly, sponsored by the Winnipeg Jazz Festival. That's fine, I'll take them whoever is bringing them to town. The best part was that I brought my 16 year old daughter to her first rock show. Damn, they did not disappoint!

How does this compare to the Gliko stuff from my local asian grocer?

No snow forecast here, but is -28°C (-18F) outside right now. Fuck this shit.
Yup, fucking cold. But I still got in a bike ride. The previous 22 winters have been downstairs on the trainer and I couldn't face another one.

Agreed, love that Costa Rican tarrazu. I first tasted it some twenty years and I've loved Central American coffees ever since. That acid balance...sublime!

ah canadians... also, I am not sure why YouTube recommended this to me.
As for the vinegar thing...as a kid, we had a hockey trip down to North Dakota to play against some 'merican teams. One of our adults, slightly inebriated, almost got into a fight at McDonalds because he wanted some "fucking vinegar for my fucking fries!"
As an adult, I concur with his taste.

RIP Chuck Close.
As a kid, I only saw his work in books. Then I saw one hanging at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. "Wow, now I get it."

It's been ages since I've listened to NWW. I think I'll have to give that one a try.

What cut will you be eating first? Asking for a doctor friend.

Yup, RIP to Mojo. I saw him with Skid Roper at a bar in 1987. Man, what a crazy show. Chaotic, mad, and wildly entertaining. Of course, the tab I dropped before going in may have influenced my perception of what was going on.
