SR-Lambda and SRD-6. About $275 and not much is better.

Are the cups intended to look like casks?

I've had my medium bi-fold for a few months now and love it. Tight fit at first but perfect once it's broken in a bit. Stitching is still unphased and the wallet looks very nice. Really happy I got this, thanks for the link.

Dwight at Senn told me I bought the last ones in Senn USA stock, but that was 6 months ago. He had to order for another person from Senn Germany.
You could always DIY your own leather versions. Reuse the retention rings and foam

best commercial I've ever seen

I for one completely agree with you torpedo

where does his ip trace to?

Did you get that wire from Ray?

Abyss sounds pretty good...much better than I expected. The bass in particular is just great. Treble is pretty horrible. Maybe the most open sounding ortho. I'd never pay that asking price though.
I expect the Woo to sound pretty 'meh'...jack of all trades, master of none.

From what I've heard, the current sources for the tubes are the same cascode in
the same exact physical place. Meaning the same screws you can't remove
from the triple of small heatsinks. So all you have to do is dump the rest of the
crap and drop in 4 tubes. Basically the same as the exstata tube version without
the bipolar output stage. Very simple circuit. I could draw it up in a few minutes.
The only issue is what the tubes are, and what the power supply voltages are.
since evidently there are no other heatsinks on the board, likely its not grounded
grid design.
Probably a couple of hours of board layout max. I could turn something like that
around in one day, and get pcbnet.com to deliver boards in 3 days.
Its going to sound way better than the mosfet pile of crap. And be pretty much
identical to tube based stax product of the middle 1970's.
Still going to be built like shit.
If this is true I really hope it's not just the tube version of the exstata. That amp sounded quite bad...

SN on the top sticker or the sticker under that?

Send me the link too please That looks phenomenal.

SR-009 from DIYT2 is revelatory

I'd really like to see Schiit make a budget electrostatic amp, I bet they could do it. We have enough expensive ones already
As for the LL, the protection resistors are definitely a cause for concern and the output capacitance is eye popping. Nobody would accept a SS dynamic amp with Z out of 150 Ohm. I wish I listened to this amp with more than one headphone so I could better gauge the sound, but it seems like this is the electrostatic equivalent of those head-outs on receivers. Just changing the output transistors would make a world of difference so hopefully he does that if he releases a new revision.

haha I like that
I'm gonna start using it to preface all my posts

Done.
Also, based on recent discussions surrounding the HD800 I'd wager that this stands a good chance of being an excellent amp for those cans.
I think so too. This looks pretty similar to the Menace (half the tubes) and that's one of maybe 3 amps I've ever enjoyed the HD800 on.

The comment that the KGSSHV has loud hisses and clicks was an utter lie.
I had a good chuckle at that too.

I thought they're there to limit current to the stators?

from my experiences the T1 is awful

Got mine, thanks again Tran

Would you expect anything less from an audio cable company? They're professional bullshitters and apparently this guy has over 3 decades of experience in this craft.
