what are you recording?

it seems that most of the field recording genre falls into the following categories

  • live concert recording (your own band and others)
  • birding/nature recording (an application similar to, yet different from live concert recording in regard to typical SPL often dictating the type of gear used)
  • ENG people, who often need to push the edge of whats commonly available to do their job

what do you do?

what gear and techniques do you use that get the job done?

what is missing from your gear and/or technique that others may be able to help with?
