NoValidTitle
Well since we got axed on the sub-forum we at least need a thread to discuss this. I'll start off with a little torture for Mike

HeadphoneAddict
That's a sweet one you have there. The photo really makes me realize how much I really miss my Kimber 4" Compact CDP. I sold off a bunch of firearms when I retired, but a nice .45 auto is one I should have kept. Somehow I drifted off the path, to plastic DAO autos a couple of years ago (haven't bought a new one since 2007). This one is my favorite - Glock 23 with night sights, crimson trace laser grips, TLR-1 light, and it runs in .40 S&W, 9mm and .22LR. It's suppressed only in 9mm and .22LR. All the spare mags, barrels or slides fit in the bottom section of the case. For concealed carry I use a Kahr PM9 with night sights, or S&W 638 snubby with laser grips. Upstateguy
Maybe a MOD might want to move this thread to the Casino for obvious reasons? USG
penger
2 questions. Are those hollow points? And I thought only law enforcement was allowed to have/shoot those? Other than that... COOL
HeadphoneAddict
Maybe a MOD might want to move this thread to the Casino for obvious reasons? USG Why? It's all legal. Anyone without a criminal record can apply for a tax stamp to own a suppressor, short barrel rifle or full auto firearm. 2 questions. Are those hollow points? And I thought only law enforcement was allowed to have/shoot those? Other than that... COOL Nope, in a free state we can buy normal hollow point ammo which is safer and more effective than full metal jacket ammo.

I really do love the Nighthawk, it shoots soooooo nice. I really need to get to the range again. I actually started out with Sig, then plastic DAOs and then bought my Nighthawk. My Sub-Compact XD 9 is a sweet carry but I've always debated getting something tiny like a Kahr or a small revolver. I've since sold my Sig and the 5" XD 45 I had. Right now I'm down to the XD-SC 9mm, 5" Nighthawk and a S&W .22LR with a red dot.
luvdunhill
my only concern would be people who have to under go various types of background checks or "google stalking" for job purposes.
MexicanDragon
my only concern would be people who have to under go various types of background checks or "google stalking" for job purposes. Maybe if they have something illegal they shouldn't post it? Maybe they should move to a real state? I'm sure if something that would be possibly incriminating or detrimental to one's self or business is put up by someone else then that person could kindly ask a mod (or rudely yell at them, depending on the parties) to strike it from permanent record. FWIW, there are 998 posts in a similar thread in another forum dedicated to headphones. FWIW #2, this wouldn't happen in postjack's forum. **BRENT**
luvdunhill
Maybe if they have something illegal they shouldn't post it? Maybe they should move to a real state? I believe it's still legal to discriminate in federal hiring based on gun ownership.

HeadphoneAddict
Not in all states and/or municipalities. We need to rectify that. There is no reason why a state should be allowed to make the innocent into the helpless, so they can't defend themselves against the criminal element or enjoy their freedom and rights. GPH
Here in Quebec, owning a gun other than for hunting is not really well seen, so I'm always fascinated by these kind of threads. I have a honest question, with no trace of malice or hidden intentions: What's the point of owning a gun with a silencer, hollow point bullets and that kind of stuff?
grawk
silencer (actually, noise suppressor) - safer on your ears to shoot, plus it looks cool hollow point bullets - if you ever need to use a gun defensively, hollow points are more effective, plus less likely to go through walls etc. But a key issue is if you think the police exist to protect you, or just investigate the crimes after they happen... GPH
But a key issue is if you think the police exist to protect you, or just investigate the crimes after they happen... I'm of the opinion that less guns in circulation equals less potential violence which might not be the popular opinion inside this thread. I get the point of pro-gun activists though, I just think a lot of people are not rational enough to use guns.
grawk
Given how skewed reporting of gun issues is, you're forgiven for being a dumbass...
Dusty Chalk
I'm of the opinion that less guns in circulation equals less potential violence ...When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will own guns. Translation (it's not just a slogan): a criminal who wants to be a gun-toting criminal will still find a way to own guns, a law-abiding citizen will not, so it will slant the density of guns towards those who will raise the potential violence.
