morphsci
It makes things a bit easier on my aged eyes and it really doesn't make it much harder to conceal (at least for me, but I am not a twig). Pretty simple, reliable and quality construction. Some people criticize it for not being metal (steel) but I like the reduced weight of it in its current incarnation. @GrahameThat is a really old towel that has been relegated to shop/garage duty. But I can say with certainty that it was not bought at Costco since I cannot recollect buying anything at Costco, ever. NTTIAWWT. swt61
I have bought towels at Costco. I have bought sheets at Costco. I buy Kirkland brand Irish Cream, because it's 1/4 of the cost of Baileys and I'm a lush. I only buy Kirkland brand cook wear, because it's awesome and a fraction of the cost of lesser "chef of the moment" crap. So if Brent thinks I'm an animal, he's right. A bear specifically. morphsci
The only reason we have not bought anything from Costco in the past was because we have never lived anywhere where we had even relatively easy access to Costco. Now we have reasonable access but we decided not too become store members after we were disillusioned by our membership at BJs Wholesale Club. grawk
What didn't you like about BJs? Costco is easily my favorite store ever. I once bought some $0.19 batteries that leaked and destroyed a $2000 mic preamp. Costco had me send them pictures, then the device and they fedexed me a check to buy a new one.
morphsci
BJ's made everything so annoying and difficult we slowly stopped going. In reality, they really did not have that much we wanted to purchase there and for the things we did purchase, the prices were not particularly awesome. I'm probably ready to give Costco a try but I don't think Karen is ready.

tyrion
I found the x9 which is has 4" barrel and holds 15 rounds local to me and $300 off retail which is rare these days. I would prefer to spend less and get the Wilson Combat modded P320 Carry but it's a 4-6 month wait.

Knuckledragger
Normally I'd post something like this in Slow Forum, but I think it fits here: I'm more than a bit allergic to excessive patriotic iconography ("the last refuge of the scoundrel" and all that) but this display is really well done and all of those guns are of major significance in American history.
Knuckledragger
Once again I was going to post this in slow forum, but it's actually a better fit here. I gave away a bunch of guns this weekend (like half of head-case: "Reeeee!") which mostly consisted of antique air guns, black powder long guns and one very strange .22 rifle. The dude I gave them two is a long time friend of mine and was very happy to get them. Hilariously, at least one of the black powder rifles is too long for his gun safe. It is from 1867 and Austro-Hungarian in origin. Another long example is an air rifle from ~1919 that was used for military training. He discovered a note inside it that provided some provenance: In encouraged my friend to keep the note and try to preserve it.
Knuckledragger
My friend took a few photos. This is the lever action air gun that had the note inside it: This is the mid 19th century Werndl: Video on the Werndl:
luvdunhill
Do y’all still like the JH13s (er whatever they are called) with removal filter for ear protection? If you are talking about hearing protection when you are shooting, I use Howard Leight by Honeywell Impact Pro active shooting earmuffs. I have used a bunch of different models over the years and these are by far my favorites. They attenuate the blasts by about 30 db, but I can carry on a normal conversation at the same time without straining to hear. I have not found any earbud type systems that work for me as well as these.
luvdunhill
Nice! They look a bit bulky though. Looking for something a bit smaller for sporting clays, unless you think they might not get in the way?
morphsci
They are a bit bulky. There are some other options also as reviewed HERE and other sites.I like the active models as they allow better hearing of ambient sound. Peltior are also good but tend to be a bit pricier. VPI
I typically use custom molds as they provide no interference with cheek weld. If I do not then I have a set of Walker cheapies that are slim and provide comfort. https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/walkers-razor-series-slim-shooter-electronic-ear-muffs?irclickid=Qi2QcG3GzxyNUSs2HszfFSnrUkDSZhy5zWfK1k0&irpid=2536217&irmpname=Camden Media&sharedid=best-shooting-ear-protection-device&irgwc=1&WT.mc_id=ir2536217&WT.tsrc=AFF&cm_soc=AFF
