naamanf Posted April 30, 2010 Report Share Posted April 30, 2010 With having the constant need to tinker I was thinking about bypassing the internal amp of the A5s with some sort of toob amp. I like way the A5s sound but I think the amp is possibly holding them back a bit. Plus at low volumes it puts more power to the left speaker than the right which is really annoying. naamanf Posted April 30, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 30, 2010 I don't think much power since I am using these near field. The internal amp is rated at 50w with a peak of 75w per ch. I doubt it can do that much though. I think a solid 5-10w would be plenty with more always being better. Edit: Yes it would be external.
