He absolutely crushed it at the NBA All-Star Game. Threw this on after and its great.
Stone Rebel -- instrumental guitar-based pop rock/hard rock/stoner -- really good for tuning out noises and letting me concentrate on work while snowed in and that infernal alarm going off
Tommy Guerrero -- laid back instrumental poprock, groovy, listen to White Sands if nothing else:
San Franciscans, he's a local, so he probably plays out often
Scooped up this original “thriller” in excellent condition from an old record store
Goldfrapp – Black Cherry
This album never gets old for me – listened to it three times in a row (trying to sort out battery issues on my portable CD player)
Stumbled across this. Be sure and stick around for Linda Ronstadt's bit.
Nice pull Steve.. I recorded this on VHS back in 1983 off cable. Randy Newman - Live at the Odeon. I would watch it over and over for gems like your post. I created a shitty digital copy from a homemade transfer to computer kit in the 2000s.
I was very happy to find out that there was a DVD release - picked it up as soon as I could. I don't know if I have ever posted - but I watch it every holiday season (was recorded around Christmas)
Not good audio on these two - but two additional Linda performances that kill me.
Thanks again -- I will watch it again when I get home tonight...
I'm happy to say that I've seen Linda a few times.
First at the American Music Hall and later, with Neil Young at the Omni (both in Atlanta).
No matter what the size of the venue, she instantly lights up a space with that voice.
Hall and Oates
They Might Be Giants used to have a song of the day number.
Me: my favourite YouTube playlist (all instrumental stoner albums):
The Telarc SACD of this is sounding very nice today
Such a great album. Both sides are fantabulous.
