aerius Posted September 22, 2011 Report Share Posted September 22, 2011 They pretty much lost me with "Reveal" and I haven't bought any of their newer albums, though I always went to their concerts when they came by my area. R.E.M. was the first band I really got into, I still have a couple of their albums in the original LP release, "Reckoning" on vinyl absolutely kills the CD version. And as a buddy of mine said, "it's better than the alternative". R.E.M. was one of the top bands of the 80's for me, and possibly one of the top 100 bands of all time. I respected the hell out of them, but the first two will always be my faves. Maybe because of the time they were done, and my age and place in life.....
