  1. Hi All,

Finally I just finished all the wiring and assembly. When I connect my carbon to electricity the first time, I got following issues:

    1. the +ve power board, the 20k Ohm resistor got smoke.

    2. only one LED on each carbon board is lighted up. But the one is lighted up on the LED close to the board name and another one is on the further side of the board name.

Attached please find the photo of my gear. Can you give me some advice on how I can troubleshoot?

    Thanks.

But there are 4 power supplies, 5 counting the bias.

    What you want is a series of detectors that detect + 15 volts +/-.25 volts, -15 volts +/-.25 volts, +400 or +450 +/-10 volts, and -400 or -450 +/-10V

that all requires an extra board with comparators, voltage references and a number of other parts.

My original plan was to indicate R+, R-, L+, L- on the amp board instead of the power. As the LED on amp boards drive the current, so I just change to simply indicate power on/off only by using GRLV voltage output.

  3. I have a question regarding the LED on Carbon amp board. I scanned through the posts and 1.7V Red LED is recommended. But I would like to extend the LED to the panel to indicate 4 rails therefore I want to pick white/blue LED instead of red. However, I checked all Blue/White LED sold in Mouser, all of them are with forward voltage 3V above. In this case,
