Nah, having 'head-fi' in it looks crap IMO. It's bad enough that they used 'headphones'... I mean no shit they're headphones. Having HF2 somewhere is enough, much like the HF1 before it. I just thought it should be listed as the grado professional series since it's build like the current PS1000.

I had SR80s and SR80i's (still have) with the added depth but I failed to notice any significant improvement. I was under the impression that it mattered more having space between the driver and ears (liberators). I'd love to get a pair made if only my budget allowed for it... one day perhaps lol

Fair enough, I haven't seen them in person so I can't say too much on the matter. BTW excuse the ignorance but what's with the use of quotation marks? Is this an inside thing I'm missing?

I didn't mean polished in a literal sense, the matte metal is fine. It just looks odd to me how the mesh is in line with the housing with no indentation... it's as if they couldn't be bothered machining it to sink in and instead went with it as it was.

Thank you, I thought my comment was quite wonderful too. (; It's a matter of taste really, I like the whole low profile Grado look. Just never seen it made in wood.

Has there ever been a woodie which fits the exact dimensions of the normal non 'i' Grados ie. SR60-225? I'd die for a flat wooden Grado, hate these big chunky incarnations!

I haven't owned too many headphones, but I'd have to say my K601s > SR225 > SR80 > K701 > KSC35.

Is it just me or does the metal construction of the HF-2 look cheap and unpolished? I hate that it lacks the inner bevel found in SR325/MS2s. They cost a fortune and don't even have the nicer details which cheaper Grados offer.
