About Me

Hi,

I have been in the headphone world for around one year now.

I previously had (and still have) a BeyerDynamic DT770 80Ohms

My first upgrade was a Stax 2050II system (SR 202 Earspeaker and SRM-252II amp) with a Smyth Research Realiser (a surround reproduction system for headphones).

I wanted to watch (well, to listen to actually) surround movies in without full size speakers because that is just impossible in the place I am currently living.

But the Stax was so good with my music that I started to look into the realm of high quality headphones.

Then in January 2011 I got a HifiMan HE6 and a Benchmark DAC-1, then two month later a Decware Mini Torii.

Now I plan to get the new Stax SR-009. I ordered it but the availability of the SR-009 is going to be limited over the next few month. Hopefully I will get it around the end of June.

I bought a 717 from Japan but I want to build DIY Stax T2, that is how I discovered Head-Case.

It is a long term project, at least 9 months I guess.

I am also looking closely at buying an IEM, like the JH-16 Pro + JH-3A (but it is delayed again and again...)
