Hello another question here about STAX headband.
I wonder which tool should be used to remove small pins that hold 'case holder' to arc assembly.
I know that I should push it to other side, replace case holder and replace those pins... but I think that these pins don't want to get away from their place.
Is there specific tool size that can remove these small pins?

I've heard that they use 100V only transformers on the Japanese gear but haven't verified it. On the cheaper amps it was usually just a matter of missing leads but on the 007/727 they cut the actual winding's.
Yes! That's what I heard about voltage change of 727A.
Then as 353X is cheaper than 727A, is it possible that they use voltage-changeable transformers?

Is there anyone who opened recent STAX amps (727A, 323S, 353X.. etc) and tried to change its voltage?
I heard that some 727A amp do not support voltage change. (You need to get a transformer)
Is there anyone who know if STAX started to prevent individual customers from changing their amp's voltage?
How about SRM-353X? I'm now currently in consideration to move from 727A to 353X, and I don't want to use transformer. (220V to 100V)

I'd like the pads to be a bit higher and thicker but for the price, you can't go wrong. If it is a late SR-1 then the SR-3 pads will work.
Most of the parts of the late SR-1's are the same as on the SR-3's. Not so much for the early ones.
I do not have information if this is late version or early version.
However, considering this one is working with SRM-X PRO, I think that it's later version.
Also, I do not have any SR-3 or SR-5 right now, can you figure out if this one is late version or early version?
This is picture of the SR-1 I have. (Link)
Sorry for the link, I have problems uploading photo on this thread.

SR-3 pads will work but the SR-1 never shipped with those pads. I used the Brainwavez HM5 pads on mine as they are close to the original shape.
Well, do you think that I should get Brainwavez HM5 earpad?
Or is it OK to use SR-3 pad?
I also am thinking about get a SR-3 to replace some parts of SR-1, so how do you think about it?

Hello I recently acquired a pair of SR-1.
It's fully working with its original driver, but does not have earpads.
I wonder if SR-3/5 pad would work for it. (Once I saw a SR-1 with SR-3 pad)
is there anyone who can help me with this problem?

I've been working on a Lambda Nova Basic that seldom shows noise on left driver.
I managed to open left driver and get rid of the noise, but I lost anti-dust (or moisture) material that covers electrodes and diaphragm.
Is there anyone who changed this super-thin material to other material?
Or is there any idea about its thickness or what is it made from?
