evidently more and more nos, and many of currently produced dual tube diode things are failing in dramatic ways. something i saw starting about 10 years ago.

note: this thing is a clusterfuck. possibly a very unsafe one, because access to ground can't be thru the tail, so it has to be in common neutral, or in common ground.

what if you have monoblocks, you need 2. or more.

you can diy the thing for less than $20. ok, not really sure, maybe i can make it a one circuit board thing like the current source for the megatron, maybe a small box with an octal tail...
