  1. This MrGreen really gets under my skin. I try my best not to use HC as a place to gripe about HF, but I do hope to ruin this guy.

Yeah, not quite sure what his motives are. And he`s not just annoying in this thread either. It`s virtually every thread he`s in.

  2. Flying back to Florida today, I was listening to grawk's tapes of the Smile At Half Mast shows of Gov Mule, and was just asleep enough to really believe I was at the show until I was rudely (okay, not really rudely) awakened by two flight attendants who were hovering over me as I was not responding to their verbal directions and they couldn't see my iems.

Oooh, I'm attending a Tommy Emmanuel concert myself right now.:D

  3. I've lived with a slight fit issue with my UE-10 for a few years now. It does not affect sound quality. But it incrementally diminishes my enjoyment of the phones because they are just uncomfortable enough.

My unsolicited advice is to get the fit issue resolved sooner rather than later.

Well, the right monitor feels just a bit small. I may try just applying some clear acrylic nail polish to beef it up a little.

I really, really don't want to send them back.

  4. Well, I've packed up my JH13 for shipment. It's going to be angonizing wait. Only thig worse than waiting in anticipation for the first time is waiting after you've had them for awhile. :(

That's why I haven't sent mine back. Not sure I want to be without them. I'll deal with the slight fit issue as it has no effect on SQ.

  5. ok finally figured out a correlation. My PC is a touchscreen tablet and whenever I touch the screen with my finger, l get static. No static when I use the pen though.

It's very strange though that this doesn't happen in the basement.

  6. I've found that dropout-pops are often caused by wireless cards, but there are other possibilities. You can try downloading and running this program:

    DPC Latency Checker

If the static/pops coincide with big spikes in the DPC latency, it's probably a latency issue.

Well, now I'm thinking you might be right. While it didn't appear that the static always coincided with the latency drops, my desktop shows absolutely no latency issues, while the latency on my laptop is quite frequent.

I've tried disabling the drivers on anything that might cause the problem, but haven't found the answer yet.

    Any suggestions?

  7. Have you tried it on both battery power and plugged into AC Adapter?

Although, AC Adapter would probably only introduce a ground loop buzz.

Not yet, will give that a shot next.

Doesn't appear to be a correlation.

  8. Ok, I've gone and done it and it's all your fault! Picked up a used Pico today.

Should have it by the weekend, and it better be worth it or you guys (and gal) are in big trouble.;)

Ok, so you weren't joking! Definitely a significant improvement I've noticed after a brief listen.

Unfortunately, I'm having a problem that I think is with my laptop. It's causing intermittent static. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, different USB cable and each port with no improvement.

    Any suggestions?
