  1. He is a great looking cat.  Does he go outside or is he strictly an inside cat?  My indoor and outdoor cats have been especially clingy as I have been recovering from surgery.  The indoor cats like listening to music without headphones.  I wonder if they would seek out music playing from an old set of cans left on the couch?

  2. Hello Folks,

Just happened on this thread this evening.  I am a big cat lover with an indoor heard and a feral colony that I have been with me for about 7 years outside only.  The feral cats are now pretty tame.  One of them regularly accompanies me on 2 mile walks at night when traffic is light.  Quite often the feral cats are visited by a variety of animals because of available cat food.  As a result I have acquired a fair amount of knowledge about raccoons!

I have always found it intriguing that Stax often does not properly translate their literature into English.

There must be someone within the company capable of handling that job.  If not, they can utilize writers

not affiliated  with Stax or have one of their English speaking Distributors help them out!
  4. Have owned a number of older Stax phones over the years so I am quite used to the Stax sound.  Mostly listen to Classical, Jazz, Blues, and Classic Rock on a good quality high end SACD player.

Do the SR009's just need more peak to peak to make them sing (analogous to Magnepans needing lot's of wattage) in the conventional speaker world?

  5. I am auditioning SR009's with a Headamp KGSS.  The phones don't sound quite like I expected.  The bass is a bit lean and the overall sound is detailed, but somewhat dull.  Would a KGSSHV or a similar amp make a big difference or should I go back to the drawing board?

    Thanks

  6. Finally getting around to repairing my stax SRX Mk3 6-pin plug. I carved up the original damaged male 6-pin plug (what a piece of crap). Unfortunately, I did a poor job of keeping track of what color wire goes to each pin. Just want to make sure I have the pinouts correct. The wire colors are Red(2), Black(6), Brown(3), Green(4), White(5), Blue(1), pin numbers in parenthesis. Can any body confirm if I got it right!
