Just finished a v1.21 board SuSy version. Volume controll is in the DAC, left that out, just a power HPamp. Running on 200mA, only balanced in- and output. THAT340 (could not find anything else in Europe), Nichicon Muse caps, SPC cables, dual v0.44 GRLV with 100VA/24V. Modushop 2U Dissipante 300 and 2U SlimLine 280.
Thanks go to Mirko for the remote support and to Dr. Gilmore for the incredible design!!

so split versions of the cfa3 board.
stack the boards together and put on the heatsink (minimum heatsink vertical dimension 83mm)
stack the boards together, use angle bracket mount horizontally for low profile chassis
etc

Do I assume it correctly, that the pre board is intended to be flipped along the Vcc axis in order to have the 3way posts aligned on the same side with the shortest possible connections?

Looks very nice!
The GRLV might make a better power supply, maybe something to upgrade later to.
Thank you!
As the boards were only 30EUR and only few parts needed, I thought that it should be able to run ASAP and will upgrade/change elements later.
I'm working on both the KGLV and a Walton-Didden Supperregulator to be able to compare them.

Would there be any problems with using BC556B parts with BC546C? Both On-Semi? I'd be buying 100 of each. Vendor doesn't have the 546B parts in stock (on-semi).
If this question is still relevant, try TME, they have the OnSemi 546B on stock

Anyone managed to build the fully balanced dam1941 version? How is the sound and filters available?
Just finished today with the raw version, case and final cables are left for later.
Soekris PSU and buffer boards. The designed Amgis transformer was not on stock, so I had to replace it with a 2x6V Toroid. 'm using OPA1602 now, but will switch to OPA1612 when they arrive. Have not yet finished the controll board, although I'm not sure I will.
The sound is very similar to the dac2541, definitely better than the RME ADI2FS or other similar quality DS based DACs. More spacious and detailed. I think it even bests the Qutest, although it was a while I listened to it the last time. Can only recommend!

@kevin gilmorewould you please upload to the boards folder the latest version of the dynalo smt version gerbers. As I see from older build photos it was .4 from 2016. Thank you in advance.
and now for something completely different part 3

Here is a solution for the ZF/SS problem worked out by Mirko.
The SMDs on the back side are alternatives to the 47uF caps.
