In Figure 13, it tells me the difference between Vsupply and Vout for a specific current output. And if wanting 2amps in Vout, the difference is only 3V. 24-16.4 is around 7volts. seems excessive considering I could've gotten better "efficiency" with a lesser Vsupply. maybe it has something to do with the fact that the voltage coming out of the recitfiers is so high. 48VDC all the down to 16.4V is a lot of wasted energy that needs to be dissipated.
